IIS utilizes an “application pool” to define application configuration settings. When you install Acctivate mobile, it will by default use the “Default Application Pool” and also the “Default website”. It’s possible that other applications use the “Default Application Pool” and you wish to create another.
Click start > run > enter “inetmgr.exe”
Expand SERVERNAME > Right click “Application Pools” > Add application pool
Enter in the name of the application pool (I called mine “Acctivate mobile”). Change the .NETCLR version to 2.0 (4.0 should work as well) and Pipe Line Mode = Classic.
Click OK then right click the new application pool and click “Advanced Settings”. Be sure to enable “32-bit applications”).
At this point, the application pool is setup. Be sure to double check and make sure the status is “running”. If not, then right click the pool and click START.
