Establishing New Lot/Serial Numbers

New Lot/Serial numbers, which have never existed before in Acctivate for a given product, must be established before they can be used on other transactions. This article shows how a Lot/Serial number can be established for the very first time.

The only transactions which can establish a Lot/Serial number for the frist time are Receipts and Assembly Builds, if the Lot/Serial controlled product is an Assembly.

You could also Import a list of Lot/Serial numbers using this guide, which will create a Receipt session that establishes each Lot/Serial in a batch.
