How do I?
Linking External Documents or a Web Page to Products in Acctivate.
Acctivate allows each product to have a link to an external document, file or web page. This allows Product Data Sheets, Warranty information or any other documents to be linked to your products.
Instructions
- Select the Specs tab on the Product Information window and click Edit
- Copy and Paste the URL (e.g.http://www.example.com/ABC.pdf) or File Location into the External Document field and click Save
- Click the View button (binoculars) button next to the External Document to open the file or web page
- Web Page (URL): http://www.example.com/product
- Local File: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Products\ABC.png
- Network Drive: D:\Products\ABC.pdf
- Network Share: \\ComputerName\ShareName\ABC.gif
- File Protocol: file://ComputerName/ShareName/ABC.gif
