What is Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio?
A free utility from Microsoft used to manage SQL Server databases.
Acctivate utilizes the Microsoft SQL Server database engine. Microsoft has a free utility to manage SQL Server databases. This utility is called the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. This software is not necessary for running Acctivate, but is useful for performing maintenance on SQL Server databases.
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (Express) software is not included with the SQL Server installation provided in the Acctivate installer. One of the required components does not include a “redistributable” license.
